ICONIC21 Live Table Offers Free Blackjack Doubles and Splits

ICONIC21 announced Free Double & Split Blackjack on November 3, 2026, adding a live table where the house covers the extra wager when a player doubles down or splits a qualifying hand. The game has no seat limit, so players can join without waiting for someone to leave. It also changes how the dealer settles a round that ends on exactly 22. In that situation, any remaining hand without a natural blackjack ties.

Which Hands Qualify for a House-Funded Wager

A player can double at no additional cost on a hard total of 9 through 11. The hard-total requirement matters because eligibility depends on how the cards make up the total. The Live Blackjack Dictionary explains the difference between hard and soft hands, along with the terms players see when making decisions at the table.

The split follows a separate eligibility rule. Pairs of twos through nines qualify, as do pairs of aces. When a player chooses to split one of those pairs, the house supplies the stake for the second hand. The original wager still comes from the player. The same funding arrangement applies to a qualifying double, where the house puts up the additional stake on the existing hand.

The company release adds another title to a category that includes Pragmatic Play’s Free Bet Blackjack and Evolution’s Free Bet Blackjack. The two decisions covered by ICONIC21’s version come up under different circumstances. Doubling depends on the value of a hard hand, while splitting depends on the rank of the pair. A hard 10 qualifies for a free double, for example, and a pair of aces qualifies for a free split.

Andrii Savyntsev, product owner team lead at ICONIC21, said:

“Doubling and splitting are two of the most important decisions a blackjack player can make, but they’re also the moments that usually require committing more money to the hand. By removing that additional cost on eligible hands, we let players make those decisions based on the cards in front of them.”

How the Dealer Settles a Total of 22

The Push on 22 rule applies when the dealer finishes with exactly 22. At that point, each remaining hand without a natural blackjack pushes. A push is a tie, so the player receives no win on that hand. The rule covers all remaining non-blackjack hands, including those where the player kept to the original wager. A natural blackjack still pays as usual.

“For operators, Push on 22 is what makes the format workable. It’s a single rule that’s easy to explain on screen, and it means they can offer free doubles and splits on an unlimited table while keeping the game in balance.”

One Dealer Hand, Individual Results

Every participant plays against the same dealer hand during a round, and the game settles each player’s result separately. That lets multiple players take part at the same time even when their own cards lead to different decisions. For instance, a player with a qualifying pair can choose to split while another player facing the same dealer hand can choose to double on an eligible hard total.

The shared dealer hand also gives the 22 rule a common point of reference. If the dealer reaches exactly 22, the game applies the push to the remaining eligible hands and pays any natural blackjack as usual. Free Double & Split Blackjack joins ICONIC21’s live card game lineup, which also includes Blackjack 360.
