CMA Greenlights Evolution’s Acquisition of NetEnt

evolution-gets-cma-approval-for-netent-acquisitionEvolution, the leading slots and live casino content provider in the industry, has received approval from the UK Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) for the acquisition of slot giant NetEnt.

The approval from the CMA was the last Evolution needed to finalize the acquisition. After receiving the green light from the Malta Competition and the Consumer Affairs Authority in September, the supplier, which recently debuted a live craps game, was one step closer to getting everything in order.

The UK Competition and Markets Authority launched its investigation of the proposed SEK19.6bn ($2.26bn) deal in September to assess if the acquisition would reduce competition in the British iGaming market. CMA will publish its full ruling in the near future and explain the decision.
