Evolution Prepares September Launch of Disco Balls Game Show

Evolution is preparing to release Disco Balls, a new live casino game show that combines numbered ball draws with multipliers that can continue developing during the main round. The game is scheduled to launch on September 9, 2026.

The upcoming title takes inspiration from the atmosphere of Funky Time and brings back Mr Funky, a character already associated with that Evolution game show. Disco Balls uses a disco setting while introducing a different betting format based around a lottery-style ball machine and a grid containing numbers from 1 to 20.

Evolution describes Disco Balls as its first game to feature evolving multipliers throughout the main game round. Players can build additional multiplier values before the Result ball establishes the winning number, while separate Bonus games can increase the potential multiplier further.

The maximum total multiplier available during the game is capped at 10,000x.

Numbered Ball Draws Form the Main Game

At the beginning of a Disco Balls round, players predict which number the ball machine will produce as the Result ball. Bets can be placed directly on individual numbers between 1 and 20.

Players can also cover groups of numbers. Available selections include Low numbers from 1 to 10 and High numbers from 11 to 20. Even and Odd number bets are available as additional options.

Once the betting period closes, Disco Cat enters the round and places random multipliers and Bonus symbols across the betting grid. A number can receive multiple multipliers, with their values added together when this occurs.

Cat multipliers can range from 3x to 20x. Ball multipliers range from 3x to 10x and can be added again whenever Disco Cat appears.

After those initial features have been applied, the ball machine begins drawing from a collection containing two different ball types: Step balls and Result balls.

Step balls affect the multiplier ladders. A red Step ball advances the ladder connected with odd numbers, while a gold Step ball advances the ladder associated with even numbers. These multiplier ladders can increase to as much as 500x.

A Result ball ends the main round and establishes its winning number. When that number matches a player’s selected bet, the game’s accumulated multipliers determine the corresponding payout.

Evolution has also included a rule covering rounds in which the machine produces a Result ball immediately. If the first ball drawn is a Result ball, the game applies a 5x multiplier.

Disco Cat Can Activate Two Bonus Games

Disco Cat also determines whether players may have an opportunity to enter one of the game’s Bonus rounds.

During the main game, the character assigns either a Disco Bonus symbol or a VIP Disco Bonus symbol to one number on the 1-to-20 grid. The selected number becomes the Bonus number for that particular round.

Bonus numbers can receive an additional Bonus game multiplier of up to 25x.

For a Bonus game to begin, the Result ball must match the number carrying one of those Bonus symbols. Participation is limited to players who placed a bet on that winning Bonus number, although other viewers can still watch the Bonus round.

Any multipliers collected during the main game carry forward when the Bonus feature activates.

The Disco and VIP Disco versions use the same underlying mechanics, although their dance floors differ in size. The standard Disco Bonus uses a 37-square floor, while the VIP Disco Bonus expands the layout to 63 squares.

Mr Funky becomes central to this stage of play. A mini wheel determines his movement around the dance floor, and the sequence continues until he moves beyond the edge.

Evolving Multipliers Drive the Game Structure

Disco Balls places multiplier development throughout the round rather than restricting it to a single game feature.

Cat multipliers can be assigned to the numbered betting area before the drawing sequence develops further through Ball and ladder multipliers. When a Bonus symbol produces a qualifying winning number, the game carries accumulated values into the corresponding Bonus round.

The structure allows the multiplier total to change repeatedly between the end of betting and the completion of the round.

The game also marks another appearance for Mr Funky following his role in Funky Time. Evolution announced Disco Balls as a new live game show influenced by the rhythm and presentation of the earlier title.

Disco Balls is set to become available on September 9, bringing its numbered betting grid, Step and Result balls, multiplier ladders and two dance-floor Bonus games into Evolution’s live casino portfolio.
