Pragmatic Play Expands into Alberta’s iGaming Market
Canada’s regulated online gaming sector has grown with Pragmatic Play’s entry into Alberta following the province’s newly regulated iGaming market launch. The move extends the company’s presence in Canada and places its casino content in one of the country’s largest provincial markets as operators begin offering regulated online gaming services.
The supplier has made its certified slot portfolio available in Alberta, giving operators access to titles that include Fury of Anubis, Big Bass Blast, and the Gates of Olympus series. Alongside its slot games, Pragmatic Play has also received certification for its live casino collection, which features classic table games such as blackjack, baccarat, and roulette, as well as its game show offerings.
Alberta Opens a New Opportunity for Suppliers
The opening of Alberta’s regulated online gaming market creates fresh opportunities for companies that supply content to licensed operators. Pragmatic Play has entered the province after already establishing a presence elsewhere in Canada through partnerships with several tier-one operators in Ontario.
The latest expansion builds on the company’s existing position in the Canadian market while adding another regulated jurisdiction to its North American operations. Operators in Alberta can access the supplier’s range of products through a single API integration, allowing multiple gaming verticals to be offered through one connection.
Building on an Existing Canadian Presence
Pragmatic Play has continued to increase its footprint across regulated markets in North America, and Alberta represents the next step in that effort. The company already works with major brands in Ontario, where its portfolio has been available to players through previously established partnerships.
Commenting on the launch, Sharon McHugh, Director of PR at Pragmatic Play, said: “Alberta represents an exciting new adventure for regulated iGaming in Canada, and Pragmatic Play is delighted to be among the first suppliers bringing premium entertainment to operators and their players from day one.
“Building on our strong momentum in Ontario, this expansion reinforces Pragmatic Play’s long-term commitment to the Canadian market. We look forward to working closely with partners across the province as the market continues to develop.”
Pragmatic Play continues to add to its game library on a regular basis, producing up to eight new slot releases each month. The company also offers live casino content as part of its wider multi-product portfolio, with all products available through a single API.
LatAm Expansion through Black Label deal
Coninquing to strenthen its presence, Pragmatic Play has signed an agreement with Black Label in May to provide its casino content to regulated operators across Latin America. The partnership gives Black Label’s platform users access to Pragmatic Play’s Slots, Live Casino, and Virtual Sports products through a single integration.
The deal includes popular titles such as Gates of Olympus, Sugar Rush, High Flyer, and Spaceman. Black Label, a gaming platform focused on the LatAm market, will add the supplier’s content to its offering for operators across the region.
